The first grand parade of every summer in New York City, thousands are expected to take part in this year’s National Puerto Rican Day Parade down Fifth Avenue on June 9th. In helping to celebrate the 44th year of time-honored tradition, Nike created a new Air Force 1 Low in wholly revamped “Puerto Rico” motif. Laser-etched with numerous details on a mostly white leather upper, this new “Puerto Rico” edition includes suede overlay up front in royal blue and perforated leather lining in vibrant red. Finally, a clear icy outsole, baseball stitching, and a set of dubre in contrast green complete this new interpretation. Slated for release on Saturday, June 1st, via select Nike Sportswear retailers, such as Pittsburgh’s Social Status.
